About me
Tom Grady serves as the faculty director of the Institute for Teaching and Learning at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Tom has been involved with planning and coordinating faculty professional development sessions for 18 years. He served as the faculty development coordinator at Johnson County Community College for 10 years. Tom was recognized as an Outstanding Faculty Member in 2003 and earned the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award in 2004 while at Allen Community College. He has earned the Certificate in Effective College Instruction through the Association of College University Education (ACUE) and most recently earned the ChatGPT in Higher Education: Exploring Use Cases and Designing Prompts micro-credential through EDUCAUSE. Tom serves on the board of the Kansas City Professional Development Council (KCPDC) and presented at the 2025 Enhancing Teaching and Learning Conference titled Utilizing Generative AI to Create Coursework and Assignments.
